As the main long-shaft lower-unit housing, this assembly carries the drive shaft, water-pump mounting area, and propeller-shaft section of the F5A/F6A gearcase.

It is the correct Parsun outboard motor part when the original casing is cracked, badly corroded, or damaged around its sealing and mounting faces.
