Parsun EFI Outboard Alarm Indicators: Diode/Lamp & Buzzer Functional Description (F15/F20)

Welcome to your guide to understanding the alarm indicator system on your Parsun F15/F20 EFI outboard motor.
These engines are equipped with a sophisticated warning system that uses lamps (diodes) and a buzzer to alert you to various operational statuses and potential issues.
Knowing what these signals mean is crucial for safe boating and timely maintenance.
Below, you'll find a detailed breakdown of the different alarm conditions and their corresponding indicator patterns.

L1 lamp
This refers to the first indicator lamp (diode) on starboard side or the lower of the 2 lamps.
It is typically associated with oil pressure warnings.
It is normal for the L1 light to come on and the remote control box to beep when the outboard motor is turned on before the engine starts.
L2 lamp
The number in the table indicates the flash frequency.
This refers to the second indicator lamp (diode) on port side or the upper of the 2 lamps.
It is often used for indicating issues like abnormal power voltage or temperature sensor failures.
