Regular Maintenance Schedule for Parsun Outboards

Daily checks before use

Before you head out on the water, it's essential to perform a few quick checks to ensure your Parsun engine is in good working order.
Here are some daily checks you should make part of your pre-launch routine:

Checking the engine oil level

  1. Put the outboard motor in an upright position (not tilted).
  2. Check the oil level using the dipstick to be sure the level falls between the upper and lower marks.
  3. Fill with oil if it is below the lower mark, or drain to the specified level if it is above the upper mark.
  4. CAUTION: Be sure to completely insert the dipstick into the dipstick guide.
